I have to admit I'm a fan. It all started with the live run videos. The person who put your website together did a great job. It pulled me in and now I'm part of this unofficial club that seems to be forming itself. Your customers are all proud of their engines and I talk to some of them regularly. It's incredible that your customers including myself tend to communicate with each other. I posted some vids on you tube and people contacted me within days to talk about there engines and how they perform. The amazing thing is some people weren't even from this country. As you know your web site is reaching people from all over the world and your customers are coming together like some high performance enthusiast club. For this to happen you know your doing something right. You guys need to be very proud of yourselves and the success that you have obviously worked very hard for. Not to mention the risks you guys sometime take doing those runs with some of your project cars. The cops must love you guys. Maybe you should donate a engine or two to your local police department or help them out with a pursuit special so they will give you guys a break so you can continue to burn up the pavement out in front of your shop. Some of the vids of your project cars like that green Camaro with the 427 are great. Keep those coming. I hope one day I can purchase another engine package with maybe some turbos or grass roots blower sitting on top of one of your big blocks. Your engines are defiantly habit forming. For now I will have to be satisfied with upgrading my drive line. My 383 is tearing up some parts. I wish I would have let you guys (and Kim) put together my transmission combination along with my engine package. It would have saved me some time and money, not to mention having to deal with the down time. That's really hard to stomach when all I want to do is run this 383. It has so much power but it purrs like a kitten when I'm cruising down the road and when I put the hammer down it screams like a banshee. You guys have built my dream engine and I am so grateful for all your effort that you all have put in to my investment.
Thanks again, and if anyone near Michigan who wants to see in person what a Proformance Unlimited engine can do send them my way. I'm always looking for a reason to burn up some gas and melt my tires.

Couple years ago you built me a Pontiac 455 stroked to 468. I was asking for 500 to 600 HP. Your dyno went down before my engine could land on it.
Well, I'm happy to report that after several jet changes and some other minor adjustments it threw down 553HP and 560FT #'s torque.

Car ran a 7.5 @ 89mph 1/8 mile at Adelaide Raceway basically in street trim. Very impressed as this should adequate to 11.5 for the 1/4 mile. We estimate approximately 430hp and 490 ft/lbs of torque.

Wow, is all I have to say about this 383 stroker I got from your shop. Thanks so much for making such a great motor. The sound and the torque this motor puts out is amazing, also, I have 273 gears in my impala that helps with fuel. I get in the range of 14 to 15 mpg. I am so proud and happy with this motor I am purchasing their 440 stroker to go in my roadrunner. Cant wait for that motor to show up.

Its been a year almost to the day that my motor was delivered and about 9 months since I installed it. From the moment I dropped it in and pumped the gas peddle 3 times and turned the key it started right up and has every time since. I now have about 1300 miles on it have no complaints what so ever with the motor and its performance. I look forward to many years of enjoyment with this motor. I wanted to thank you all for a great experience from the ordering to the delivery and everything in between and all the help and assistance you provided. The engine looks like a work of art!!! You guys do really nice work!!! The only thing I'm not sure of is the oil pan. I can't completely tell, but is the sump in the front? If so, front lip of the pan where the bolt holes/gasket surface is. I can't really tell from the pictures, so it may actually be the same pan. If you could double check, I'd appreciate it. I don't really want to disturb your fine craftsmanship by having to change out the oil pan if it's not the right one. Besides, my oil pan has a big dent in it.
Once again, the engine looks hot!!! I absolutely can't wait to drop it in and fire it up. The hard part will be waiting a few thousand break in miles before opening up the throttle to see what that big boat is gonna do! LOL!

How Have You Been? Sorry it has taken so long to contact you but, I wanted to have some solid numbers on the stroker motor I purchased from you last year. Still haven't made it to the dyno or the track but I can tell you this motor is awesome. I Have finally nailed down the timing and built a killer carb and can no longer get the rear wheels of my 86 Z28 to hook up. Even with all the modifications to the rear suspension and 10.5" wide drag radial the tires break loose in the first three gears of the 700r4. Waiting on my adjustable Torque arm, which should make me hook. I will contact you again when I have some numbers on the car or the motor. Either way, I just want to thank you for building such an awesome motor. This Kind Of Quality Craftsmanship, And honesty are hard to find. I'm glad I took the chance and placed my trust in you guys.

Well, it has been a couple months since we last communicated. Just wanted you to know, I have the 347 Stroker Motor in my 69 Mustang now. The exhaust was completed today and I was able to run the motor and hear the awesome sound of your Proformance Unlimited Engine. Let me tell you... it sounds GREAT!!!! I am still working on completing the body and paint and hopefully will have it out on the road in the next couple months. Here are a couple pictures one of the car before I started on it and one of the motor in the engine compartment.

I just wanted to thank you for everything you guys did for me and building me my motor. I really appreciate how honest you guys were throughout the whole process too. My dad and I finally got it all hooked up in my 72 Nova and the car runs like a beast! People around my neighborhood used to look at the car as a disgrace, and after all the hard work my dad and I put into it and with the help of you guys it's finally running and looking good. Thanks for custom building my 383-475 stroker engine, and assisting me in picking out my Art Carr 350 transmission, my 3000 stall converter and March Performance serpentine belt system.
Everyone in California thought I was crazy for purchasing a custom built engine from the east coast. To be honest, I even had doubts at times myself. Then, Doug & Steve e-mailed me a video of my engine running. When I heard that baby run I knew I had done the right thing. Before I knew it my new engine was shipped. The day it arrived was like Christmas. The next thing I knew, that engine was in my 64 Chevelle (O BOY)! The first time I started it up, my wife (Lorrie) looked at me and she said she has never seen a smile on my face like that before.
As for all my friends in California, well they all want to go for a spin. (Go Figure). My wife is now happy because she says; I’m finally out of her kitchen and back in my garage where I belong!

I recently purchased a 461 Pontiac stoker and I want to tell you that I was absolutely overcome with the performance that this motor makes. I put the motor in my 66 GTO and fired it up. On the very first try it came to life and was an instant success. At first it sounded very much like a “Pro Stocker” but after the Police came and told me to quiet it down we hooked up the rest of the exhaust, now it sounded more like a Pro Stocker with Mufflers on!
The care and Professionalism you showed during the building process was amazing to me. In a day and age where money talks and you walk, you guys showed me how customer service is really supposed to be. The engine runs consistent at 180 degrees with 75 lbs. Of oil pressure @ 3k rpm, the vacuum canister was a necessity due to the larger cam. I have nothing but “Rave Reviews” about this engine and I hope I can generate some bus. Your way from the shows this will be in. Once again, Thanks for the experience.

Just a few lines to let you know the motor (Chevy 350)has been installed. The motor is in creditable. Although I haven't wound it over 4200 rpm. it is smooth and responsive and has a bit of an attitude. I've matched it to a 200r4 extreme duty OD transmission, and a Chevy 12 bolt possi rear-end with 4.10 gears (3000 rpm=78 mph) added a 4 row desert-cooler radiator temp runs 176 to 180 on the highway 190 around town in traffic.
Just wanted to thank you guys for the excellent work and craftsmanship. It was well worth the wait the accolades I have received many and complimentary I'll recommend you to anybody.

Hello fellows at Proformance Unlimited!
Last year, I took my 68' Camaro apart, Replacing about 90% of the interior and had a body shop repaint and repair anything on the body that had any defects. I repainted the car dark blue with a white nose stripe and replaced all the chrome and lights.
The 383/450 HP motor I bought from you just put the icing on the cake! The power and sound made my 68' a dream come true. The motor started up as it did on my video. It runs better each time I carry it out for a drive. No adjustments so far.
It has been a pleasure dealing with you.

My name is mike and I own a 1966 2+2 K code mustang. I order a 302, 380 hp for my car. It was the best thing I could do for my car ------ it made it come alive. The motor was a perfect fit for my car.
Let me put it this way when I first got the motor in the car and running, my wife and I went for a ride and she told me it gave her anxiety attacks because of the power the motor gave the car. It may sound mean but I had a good laugh about it. Now she has no problems when she rides in it. She loves it as much as I do. I receive many complements on the motor that PROFORMANCE UNLIMITED built for me AND OF COURSE THE CAR. Great job guys.. Thank you guys again for all your help. It is not if, but when I get my next project I will buy another motor from you people. I would recommend to buy a motor from PROFORMANCE UNLIMITED they are very good in how they take care of there customers and how they build motors...

Just wanted to drop you guys a line and a HUGE THANK YOU on my 350/420hp motor. This 1966 Chevelle super sport was a 10 second street/strip car. It was my brothers car, then he passed away at age 44, when he died, so did the 472 cu. in. race motor.
My goal was to put the car back on the street and just have fun with it. So I turned to Proformance Unlimited for a turnkey crate motor. All I can say is "WOW". This motor is so strong! It's a pleasure to drive on the street. With Hooker 1 5/8" Super Comp headers and a full 3" Flow master exhaust, it still sounds and feels like a big block, With BFG drag radials, 0-100 MPH is a blast. Second car show, took home a trophy!

It's INSANE, with a full exhaust system on it, it sounds like a dragster and the tick over is to die for. It's won the biggest look at me factory the moment it starts up.
I haven't had the "balls" yet to drive it. I think that a LOT more SERIOUS chassis checking is required before I drive this on the street.
So far 100% SATISFACTION guys.
Many, many thanks to Doug and to Steve and anyone else involved with this motor build. My friends, who are pretty hard engine builders in their own ways, are open mouthed at this motor.
I will get a video made and send to you. The link you sent to me with it running, good at that is, does NOT do your work justice. If this runs like it sounds it will be sensational! And I believe that it will. It picks up revs as fast as a two stroke motorcycle engine.
I have had some serious small block Chevrolet motors built.........but this............this is in another league.

I want to thank you for a great engine. I purchased a 347/425 in March for my Factory Five Cobra coupe. It was delivered on time and just a beautiful hunk to look at. After coupling it to the Tremec TKO 600 that you provided it was ready for the 1st. fire up on July 4th. It fired right up and put a big smile on my face. I was going to finish the car before I drove it but I couldn’t stand it. I put over 3500 miles on it this summer and fall with no problems except the coil died. The engine performs much better now with 3500 miles on it then when new. Temperatures and oil pressure are right on. I have all winter to do body work and paint; I’ll send photos when done. I did two track events, the second at NHIS 3 days ago----WOW

I wanted to drop you a line and tell you thanks for all the help you and your team have been in helping me select my engine and various other parts, but more importantly, how well this engine performs. This power plant (Ford 302) has totally transformed my sluggish Bronco into a muscle truck that has caught more than one unsuspecting hotrod by surprise. It’s backed by a built C-4 auto with Hurst shifter, and a 3500 stall from Transmission Specialties, Out back is a nine inch with a Detroit locker, and 31 spline chromoly shafts. The interior was recently treated to a new dash with pieces from Auto Meter and So Cal Speed Shop, and the transfer case is shifted by a modified piece from Lokar. Suspension includes all new springs, bushings, brake lines, and drive shafts by Wild Horses.
Thanks again for all your hard work. I have gladly recommended Proformance to several people with projects on the books.
