Our Ford 289 crate motor begins with a seasoned six bolt SBF block and a cast iron precision ground micro polished crankshaft. When using Ford cast iron cylinder heads our 289 crate motor is rated at 300 horsepower. If you are looking for even more horsepower then opt to use Dart Performance Pro One aluminum heads and take your crate motor to 350 horsepower.
