Our Ford 289 long block motor begins with a seasoned six bolt SBF block and a cast iron precision ground micro polished crankshaft. When using Ford cast iron cylinder heads our 289 long block is rated at 300 horsepower. If you are looking for even more horsepower then opt to use Dart Performance Pro One aluminum heads and take your long block motor to 350 horsepower.
